Well I'll just have you know....

No really I'll just have you know I ALMOST posted twice in February.  REALLY!!! I have the draft saved in my posts but I never got back to it.  I don't know why i am lacking motivation!!! It is really starting to drive me crazy.  I mean I was ALWAYS the person who was ready to get up and out to go do SOMETHING to go do NOTHING.  Not now though ....now I am dragging my butt....now I just put it off until tomorrow....now I just sit home.  Who am I?  I can't even answer that question myself right now.  I really really really need to be the DOER again!  What is it going to take???? Anyone? Anyone? (whenever I right or even think that I always hear Ben Stein from Ferris Bueller's Day Off saying....Bueller Bueller) Nothing huh? No suggestions??? Maybe i need to take a class?  Or go back to the gym? (by the way my daughter has been begging to go to the gym a big change from that summer she got a summer membership and went how many times???? ONCE) I need another JOB!!! I mean I love working for my Dad right now.  I get paid a salary and the hours are really SHORT  you can't beat that right? But this economy is killing us my husband is just not getting any work!!! And in addition to the financial burden that puts on us....seriously if I have to spend one more day in this house with just the two of us for HOURS ..... well let's just say i shouldn't be held accountable for what I might do...lol  I mean don't get me wrong he is pretty good....he does all the outside work at the house AND washes the dishes!!! And he will definitely go and pick up the girlie and her friends if I ask....or sometimes even if I don't ask....The thing about him is...well he is GRUMPY and CRANKY and well he'd kill me if he knew I said this he is also VERY nosey!!!! Now don't get me wrong...sometimes he is fine but other times he is....Gladys Kravitz from Bewitched...LOL  So now you understand why I need to DO more....I need an escape...so I don't try to runaway...lol  (ok just kidding about the running away part because I mean really....where would I go?)  I try to use crafting as an escape....And yes it does work a little....but my house is messy and so I don't have enough room to do the crafting the way I want...and the blog and everyone's blogs are a little escape but I can't do enough with my blog and I have no... oops I mean only ONE follower....and well that is one of my BFFs(hahaha) from high school SO....WOW this is random.....I just popped on to do a quick..."What I've been up to" ...post and here I sit rambling and whining!!! ....Hmmm....I should copy and paste the other post from Feb that i never posted (because it wasn't finished) because that kinda says what I've been doing....Ok so here it is....Hi guys! I know you are shocked that it's still February and I am blogging AGAIN! Did you look at your calendar and think "omg! is it March already???" No no ....it's ok it IS actually February I just decided to pop in and write again.  So now what have I been up to...hmmmm... Well now I know I mentioned that I was going to try NOT to wait until the last minute to do my Valentine's Day cards....yeah that didn't work.  So on Sunday night I sat on my bed making Valentine's cards for my niece and nephew and my daughter.  They did come out pretty cute though!  My daughter made one for her boyfriend....NO she did not make her mother one....you'd think she could have done SOMETHING for her mother (yes I am planning on sending her the link to this post...lol) I mean geezzzz write on a scrap piece of paper or ANYTHING....but nope I got nada.  Now I don't really mind too much :o) My husband surprised me last weekend and put in Hardwood Floors in my Dining Room!  Keep in mind we have had the wood for about two years just sitting in boxes in that room waiting...waiting....waiting....and out of no where Friday he starts cleaning out the room and then Saturday he prepped the floor....(At this point I still wouldn't say it was happening outloud because i didn't want to jinx it...hahaha)...and then LOW AND BEHOLD  Sunday he made a trip to the Home Depot at 1030ish and by 11am he starts nail gunning away and putting in my floor!!! WooHoo!!!!!  Now how do I get him to paint? lol  I know better then to push him or it will never get done.  I think my plan will be to go buy the paint and ya know maybe just "start" to "help" out....I am still in the planning stages though don't want it to back fire on me...lol  Well There ya go!!!! I was actually (at the time) waiting until I uploaded my photos to post it....and you see where THAT got me...yep yep yep...no second post in February!!!  i think I may challenge myself to post at LEAST once a week ....twice would be better even if it's just a quick "Hello Blog World"....hmmmmm....I'll think that over....ok well off to pick up the spoiled girlie from school!!!  Ciao~

Ah Sweet February.

I love Valentine's Day.  Not because of the Hubby but because I just love my daughter!...lol  Ever since she was little i would ask her weeks before if she would Be My Valentine because I always wanted to be the first! She is now almost 16 and I asked her last week (she has a boyfriend now *cringe*) she said Yes...lol.  I didn't start making the Valentine's cards I plan on making but maybe this weekend.  I do have a picture of my daughter's scarf! (Well I did promise pictures... ;oP)  Next-scarf for my niece and I don't know I am looking for SOMETHING to occupy my mind.... :o/

Well here it is and January is almost over,which is GOOD because I HATE winter but BAD because I haven't blogged since NOVEMBER.  I am SO not good at this whole blogging thing!  I am GREAT at reading them though...lol.  Even If I let a day or two go by I will go through my ENTIRE list until I hit one I remember!  I know I should be doing something more productive with my time so I could SHARE something with you here!  Well I have been doing a few things...let's see I made two scrap layouts, I've made a few scarves (I only have a picture of one right now... :o/ ), and....hmmmm....ok so maybe that's it but it was the holiday's and and and....yeah I have NO excuse except non-motivation.  So what am I working on now?  I am almost done making a scarf for my daughter with a Galaxy Stitch I got the pattern free here , they have some GREAT patterns free if you just sign up for their newsletter, I am going to change it up some I am planning on making a border using a picot stitch I picked up watching a youtube video here, she does some wonderful tutorials! I would be done with this scarf already if my daughter didn't decide every time she tries it on that she'd like it a little longer! Good thing I LOVE her...lol.  OK so what else....I have a few pictures that I am working on layouts for one of my daughter and niece when they were toddlers, it is a favorite picture of mine so I am really taking my time with the layout, which means what? taking a few months instead of just one?...LOL  probably!!!  I will be making Valentine's Day cards for a couple of my favorite children hopefully this week and not the DAY before!!! After I finish my daughters scarf I am starting one for my niece her's shouldn't take TOO long because she is just a little peanut so that is a tiny scarf! She would like it to be and I quote "Light Pink, Dark Purple with a little White".  She is VERY bossy for a 5 year old...lol.  I am getting off easy because when I asked her if she'd like me to make her a scarf she asked me if i could make her a jacket...LOL.  When I told her I am not sure I am capable of making her a jacket(especially since I don't own a sewing machine...lol) she said..."Ok well then you can make me a scarf".  She is SUCH a cutie!!! Of course if I make her a scarf I then have to think of something to make for her twin brother because I can't give something to one and not the other!!! He is just as much of a CUTIE and not as bossy...lol.  I also told my daughter's friend I would make her a scarf so I will be working on that too!  Hmmmm....I better get moving before it's spring and I am still working on scarves...LOL.  Well I am going to TRY to be more diligent with this blog I SWEAR who knows maybe I could even get a few followers if I figure out what I'm doing....LOL  Well I will be back SOON (no really) and even post pictures!! I know, I know PROMISES PROMISES .... but this time I am serious...  ;o) <3

Terri's Holiday Wish List

Today's Mama and Game Stop are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.


1. What is your holiday wish for your family? I just want my family to have a happy safe holiday and to enjoy the time spent with friends and family.

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition? Christmas morning my daughter wakes up and we go out to the tree to open her presents and then stocking (presents are always first).  Then we eat breakfast and "play" with her new stuff. 


3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? Ok well I would ask Santa for a HUGE shopping spree.  Just pass me the pre-paid Visa with about $5000 or $10000 on it and I will go off and buy...lets see..Tickets to concerts and shows in NY, clothes for everyone, a trip for the family.  Hmmmm.... that would be nice right about now actually.  


4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? We decorate the house and tree.  We play Christmas music in the car until we just can't handle it anymore....lol.  


5. What games did you play with your family growing up?  We played the standard games Monopoly, Trouble, Sorry and such.  We were also a big card family 500 rummy and Poker!  Oh and we likes to play Pokeno  do they have that anymore??? :o)


6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?  Spending the Holiday's with my Grandma is our tradition that I have carried on from my own childhood.  She is 84 now and can't do the holiday herself anymore so I will go where ever she is which currently will be my brother's home.  She makes the best home made ravioli's they are DELICIOUS!


7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip? I would never go away for Christmas unless I could take EVERYONE with me.  Now if were leaving the day after Christmas Sign us up for the happiest place on Earth.... Beach Club Villas I've never been able to stay there but I here its absolutely FABULOUS!!!

#1 Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect for the girlie if her Santa had the money!


#2 Donkey Kong Country Returns I think the girlie would enjoy playing this and a second one for my niece and nephew would got the Nintendo Wii Red Bundle for their birthday last week.  


#3 Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Super Bundle for Wii  for the girlie since she only has Guitar Hero for the Playstation 2 and would like to play it with her Uncle and he has the Wii now (see #2).


#4 I'm adding a fourth and going with   Singstar  for the Playstation 2 for the girlie to play with her momma!

Here comes the Holidays....ready or not!

So we are just waiting for the Holidays to begin here.  I love Christmastime!  It is truly my favorite time of year.  Which is saying a lot for me because I hate COLD and WINTER, I am a SUMMER girl.  But Christmas is special.  I lost my mom in December 2007.  She was a very young 61.  But she got sick and she fought to the very end trying EVERYTHING she could to spend more time with us, the people she really truly loved, but it just wasn't in the cards for us and we lost someone very special to us.  I'd like to say I don't cry over losing my mom anymore that I understand that when your time is up there is nothing that can be done and life for the living goes on but truthfully I still cry and just wish she was here where she belongs.  The reason why I bring up my mom because she is the reason I love Christmas! She loved Christmas! And let me tell you it wasn't in a crazy decorating, food cooking kind of way.  She was a busy woman.  Very rarely did she even decorate before Christmas Eve and when my brother and I moved out to start our own families she sometimes only found time to put out her ceramic table top tree.  But that didn't stop her from loving Christmas.  My Grandma is the BIG decorator in the family when it comes to Holidays (seriously even now at 84 when she does so much less then she used to she does 100% more then me!),  and every time my mom walked in her house even during the day she'd flip the switch to turn the lights on on the tree.  My mom used to complain that she didn't know what gifts to get anyone and would shop until the last day possible.  She was SO generous and just wanted to get people something they'd really love.  She is where I get my generous nature from I just want to give people something they will love and will make them smile! It's going to be a tough Christmas this year.  Times are very tight here so hopefully I can be "creative" and still make people smile.  Anyway what Was I writing about?  Oh yes the Holidays...We start with Thanksgiving....spending the day with family and eating delicious food...who can beat THAT?  The week before Thanksgiving I have my twin niece and nephew's 5th Birthday.  Ice Cream Cake & Pizza! Mmmmm.   Then the big shopping season begins....I as rule don't normally do Black Friday Shopping.  It is TOO crazy for me but this year I am considering it.... we'll see if I can wake up that early!  Then before you know it the BIG day is here and gone then there's New Year's and then I am counting the days until SUMMER...lol.  But I will enjoy the special time with family and friends and I hope you will too.

Ok so anyway that was just me rambling, this is me talking about crafting.  I have been crocheting away at my owl hats! I made 5 my daughters plus 4 others.  They are all a little different! Each was a different color and had different add-ons by the ear and some had open eyes some had closed eyes, some had "hairs" on the tips of the ears some didn't but they were all SO cute!  I also have been making cards, working on a scarpbook layout (it takes me forever to finish one!), made some head pieces for my daughter to go to a 1920's themed Sweet 16 party.  I will add pictures in my next post which will be before December I swear! 

Apparently I'm a Once a Month Poster?

Ok so I guess I am not a very good blogger.  I did a layout last night and decided to post it! Also, I just finished making a hat for my daughter.  I crocheted it from a pattern I got off etsy with a few alterations, artistic liberties if you will...lol.  I have to say for my first hat it didn't come out half bad!  What do you think??? :o)

Apparently I'm not a very good blogger.  I don't have any followers so I am not very diligent about writing all the time!  But then I think oh but why would anyone want to follow if they stop by and there are no posts?! So here I am catching up on what I've been working on.  Took pictures of two layouts I made! I am still working on how to photograph my crafts and pages.  Today is my daughters first day of school.  She is a SOPHMORE this year!  Getting too big in my opinion *sigh*.  I feel like it wasn't that long ago that I was a sophmore but in reality it was 30 years ago.  30 years? Can that be right?  But alas it is.......lol.  Ok well here are some pics of a few things I have finished.  I made a card for the girlie on her first day today.  Two layouts of some pics i liked which just happened to  be from the same year. I drew two pictures one for my niece and one for my nephew.  The felt pig i am going to put on a bracelet for my niece. I googled felt pig and copied one of the ones I found so it totally is not my design!  The card with the sun my daughter made for her boyfriend's dad.  I love watching her create! The felt owl is a ponytail holder i made my niece has decided it should be a bracelet! She is so cute! I do that a lot if the kids say ..."can you draw a (fill in the blank) I just google it and do the best I can with something i find! I have been making a few cute things like head bands and crocheting flowers I don't have pictures of everything yet!  Ok so here is my stuff....well at least the pics i remembered to take!
